Senior Accountant - Immediate Start

Colvin is following a new strategy focused on gifting while continuing to disrupt the €30Bn European floral industry through an optimized supply chain direct from growers, long-lasting flowers at a lower market price and a modern brand with a frictionless, simple and elegant user experience.

We are looking for a senior accountant who can immediate start to work in our finance team, an individual team player with a solid accounting background who is willing to support the company with a continuous professional development attitude.

What you will do:

• Report directly to the Head of finance and lead the accounting team.
• Be the main contact for day-to-day accounting activities.
• Supervise the monthly and year-end close process.
• Lead the Intercompany balances and reconciliations.
• Manage balance sheet and P&L review for the entities of the 3 countries (Spain, Italy and France)
• Review and provide accounting documentation to external auditors to finish audit work according to local statutory target dates.
• Coordinate and support external advisors in terms of tax and compliance.
• Be aligned with the rest of the Accounting team proactively in the use of new tools, optimization of processes, implementation of internal controls and continuous training.
• Manage cash flow effectively, ensuring optimal financial health.

What we´re looking for:

• +4 years of experience in accounting and finance teams in a fast-growing startups and multinational environment.
• Bachelor degree in Finance/Economics or Accounting.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Spanish GAAP and tax. Familiarity with French and Italian GAAP will be an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Offices and ERP. Previous experience with Netsuite will be highly valuable.
• Critical spirit. Social skills. Empathy and understanding. Good communication skills.
• Organized and accustomed to working with deadlines, with a problem-solving mindset.
